It may be tempting to compare the price of a custom-made tarpaulin with that of a standard model available in stores or online. ‘Catalogue’ tarpaulins are indeed cheaper to buy because they are mass-produced in predefined sizes. However, they do not always correspond to the exact size required. The tarpaulin often has to be folded, cut or stretched excessively to fit, which leads to premature wear and tear and less reliable performance.

The dimensions of your custom-made tarp
The first thing that influences the price are the dimensions. The larger the tarp, the more raw material it requires. That’s why most of the time, the rate is calculated per square meter. We recommend that you take the measurements of your structure, furniture or element to be covered with precision. Taking good measures from the beginning allows to avoid bad surprises and to obtain a suitable tarp.
If the tarp rests on a pergola or carport structure, we recommend taking measurements from edge to edge inside part, then removing 8 cm in length and width to have the exact dimensions of the tarp to be manufactured.
